God is Hope

God is my hope. Anything not of Him can and will be shaken.

For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth. Psalms 71:5

God is Good

God is good. So good. Good enough to pay my debt. Good enough to supply all my needs in every area. It is wonderfully refreshing to know and experince the goodness of God.

God Is.

God is.

That is enough. God is.

Exhaustion makes cowards of us all.

I just heard this yesterday. I can't remember who they were quoting. This has been a large part of my struggle lately. It really is harder to deal with anything when exhausted. Once again I turn to Jesus to rest and refreshing.

Look at the Light, Not the Shadows

Posted by Mukkove on May 2, 2010 at 12:44 AM Comments comments (0)

Reading Shadows and Shining Lights to my children I read, "This time look at the light instead of the shadows." This first struck me because we've been dealing with good days going bad when the focus is on what didn't go someone's way instead of remembering the good. The light can be what we do know when we're confused, what is right when all seems wrong, what we can see when the way seems dark.  I also realized they're just shadows, not strong powerful darkness, just shadows. Shadows, and even darkness, have no power over light. Jesus is the light and in His presence darkness has to flee. Bring Him into any dark or shadowy situation.

Focus

One day while I was struggling yet again with all I had to do and children’s poor attitudes I sat down to write out a list. Writing helps me to focus. As I was flipping through my note book I came across a page from a previous time I had done the same thing. At the top was written “I want my focus to be maintaining the house and enjoying the kids.” As I read this I thought, “No, that’s not what I want my focus to be.” I crossed it out and wrote “Jesus”. He is my focus, at least I long for Him to be. If I focus on Jesus He will change me where I need changing and give me the grace to let other things go. My focus is Jesus. Is yours?

Happy Easter!

Jesus lives and that changes everything! I plan to meditate on this thought much more today. Be blessed in Jesus.

Do Not Let Your Heart Be Troubled

Posted by Mukkove on April 3, 2010 at 12:49 PM Comments comments (0)

"Do not let your heart be troubled." Jesus said. It's our choice. When troubling things come, as they always will, we are told to not let our hearts be troubled. How can that be? Jesus told us in the  preceeding statement. "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you." Jesus gave us HIS peace. Sin and curse overcoming peace. All the troubling things that come at us are because of the curse - the curse Jesus nulified by his life, death, and ressurection. Peace.
